Data centers use a very large amount of power. A Martin Energy Group (MEG) CHP system can compliment a data center’s existing backup power supply, constituting an extra layer of security. Data center’s primary use for thermal energy is cooling and MEG can provide units to support that need. A CHP system can significantly reduce a data center’s expenditure on power and provide cooling through an absorption chiller which will utilize the waste heat from the gas engine. This process will substantially reduce the electricity demand when compared with electrically powered cooling systems. An added incentive of a MEG CHP is the benefits on the environment by reducing emissions.
