Martin Energy Group’s cogeneration units makes the utilization of biogas possible. The units capture the gas, process it and use it to fuel generators, providing a “green” alternative to other power sources. CHP’s are designed to take waste heat and utilize it for the simultaneous generation of electricity and useful heat (to heat buildings, boilers, ovens, etc.) and CCHP applications (combined cooling, heat and power). CCHP applications generate useful cooling through an absorption chiller to provide refrigeration and cooling. A CHP or cogeneration unit makes efficient use of natural gas thereby producing fewer emissions and less water utilization resulting in “green” energy.
